The BORK Store

WELCOME TO THE BORK STORE!

The BORK (Bolt-On Ripping Knife) is my response to a statement made on a woodworking forum: "A retrofit riving knife is not possible". It took almost two years and the help of several other woodworkers to arrive at today's BORK. It works, I use it and I will guarantee your satisfaction: 30 day unconditional full refund if product is returned in as-received condition.

The BORK Blade Guard (BBG) is the result of being without my overhead blade guard for some time after moving into a new shop. It's an extension of the BORK concept...safety that's easy and convenient to use. Owner's of BORKs that have black adjustment screws will only need to buy the guard itself. The BBG is also available for new installations with or without the ripping knives (splitters).

Pictured above is the BORK Dust-Collecting Blade Cover (DCBC). The BORK and newer saws with short riving knives do not provide dust collection or protection from the saw blade. Dust collecting blade guards from major manufacturers are expensive and limited in mounting options. Take a look at the DCBC description and options to see if it will work for you.

The BORK will not fit all saws. An alternative is a Zero-Clearance Insert Mounted Splitter.  It won't move up and down with the saw blade but it will provide the anti-kickback protection. Also, the splitter can be fitted with an optional blade cover for added safety.

Shipping charges (usually USPS Priority Mail) are included in the purchase price of all items.
